Can someone help me understand a couple of amp spec-terms?

I've seen some amps that say "efficiency 85%@ 4ohms" or "efficiency 82% @ 4ohms" etc. What does that mean exactly? Also, since we're on the topic of terms I don't fully understand, can someone break down "slew rate" and "damping factor"? Thanks!
