Why are a range of different products being manufactured in Less Economically developed countries?

Hi I am a bit stuck on my assessment i need help in knowing which More Economically developed countries such as The US and UK are settling in Poorer countries such as The Phillipines or Mali and are producing their products there. Can you please provide me with an in depth answer to this question please so i can get an idea of why this is happening.
